SimGolf Was Fantastic

This is of course the computer game that was created by Sid Meier in 2002 and was and still is the only game that let it’s players create and run a golf course and use a professional to play on (Good ol Gary Golfer). I remember playing this game back in the day and it was a great game for a bit of fun, here are the things you could do.

Build the courses up from nothing to one of the biggest courses in the world. You always had to start from nothing on the very first hole which is always a good thing. You decide on how long you wish the hole to be and then you create accordingly. You are allowed to make the courses as easy or as hard as you like putting 1 or perhaps 50 bunkers in the same hole. One of the key aspects of the game is to make the people that play the courses happy and you need to do this by helping them out during their round.

One of the things that I always used to do is get a guy selling drinks every few holes to make money and make the golfers happy. Over time you can build the course up into a very big golf resort, these can consist of celebrity homes, airstrips and even casinos. The whole element of the game was once you had designed you had to ever tweak and maintain.

You have to hire grounds people to make sure there aren’t any weeds on the course and it all adds for a very good game when it comes to it. I started to play this game again a couple of weeks ago and although the graphics really are very bad it is still a fantastic game.

So charge up those golf trolleys and those UPS batteries and start playing golf. Mobility scooter batteries can be used for this purpose too.
